Unceasing Lamentations

Gigasius One of those albums that just stops the world around you and leaves you breathless.
Nina's vocal performance is truly out of this world.
Just, damn. Favorite track: Against Evil Done By The Serpent.

thomas_newton I love everything about this. The hypnotic slow burn guitar, the horripilating vocals, the fact that I can stream on my 21st century phone an arrangement based on something which was likely once carved on clay tablets. For the brick shall the walls wail!
nomadylan

nomadylan A truly unexpected work. Improvised, sung in three different languages (two of which dead), and with just an acoustic guitar and a sort of tambourine, Unceasing Lamentations shows the huge potential of this band. And, once again, Nina's singing is on another level. Favorite track: Lalae Madar.

And shem wow what a brilliant musical artist.

Mahsa Amini was murdered in cold blood by the Islamic Regime in September 2022. Since then the women of Iran have risen up and led unceasing protests to this very day.

This has been named the "Woman Life Freedom Movement" and it will go down in history as an uprising spearheaded by the fierce, powerful women of Iran.

We are showing support for the fearless protesters in Iran with this design made by tattoo artist Wyrdian of Seven Doors Tattoo. The design is based on depictions of Ereshkigal and Anahita, both complex ancient goddesses who dealt with death and war respectively. The lions are symbols that span both western and eastern cultures and unite those of us in the diaspora as well as all who ally with us in this movement.

We are donating £1 from every sale to the charity IKWRO, which supports Iranian and Middle Eastern women in need in the UK.

If you have any other charity suggestions that you would like us to consider donating to please send us a message.

This design is limited to a run of 100

How long my Queen, the pious woman in misery? The bride of Esagila in misery? For the brick shall the walls wail? For the dust shall the restored dust wail? The city and the land are afflicted with woe As to thy word who comprehends thy form? She wanders on the plain, on the plain she wails The mother, Queen who gives life to the dead, on the plain she wails The Queen, Lady of Larak, on the plain wails The Queen, mother of the holy city, on the plain wails The abode Erabrir, of the lord Sakutma, on the plain wails O honoured one, the exuberant, alas, alas.

String 1 may Aššur, the king of the gods, improve your dominion for you. String 2 may Ištar, who created mankind, grant you well-being and longevity. String 3 may Daragal make you rival the fierce weapon(s and) the raging storm. String 4 may Enkidu, treat kindly the Lady, the protective spirit who created good things, the lamassu. String 5 may Damkianna make your appeal, your prayers, and the stroke of your nose always pleasing to the lord of lords. String 6 may Endašurimma present your artful advice and your precious words daily. String 7 may Endukuga always let your footstep fall on a prosperous road and a smooth path. String 8 may Enudtila constantly establish abundance, plenty, and prosperity for the pastures of your people. String 9 may Enmešarra crush the forces of those who wrong you and of your enemies. May he scatter the weapons of your adversaries.

Lalae Madar 04:20
Go to sleep, to your beautiful dreams The flower of sadness is one thousand colours as the night Do not wake from dreams of fairytales Do not set foot in this city of tragedies Go to sleep, mother’s eyes are awake Like the monster behind the walls Your balloon has no string It will not reach the torn up clouds Go to sleep, go to sleep, your mother won’t abandon you She loves you, she loves you She sits by your cot Someone was there, someone was never there Your eyes say to me that the ocean is jealous If you threw a stone into those waters Satan would come and make war with me Now those clouds will come and take you from me And without you all the flowers in the garden will die Go to sleep, go to sleep, your mother won’t abandon you She loves you, she loves you She sits by your cot

about

This live acoustic EP was recorded live by Jackhammer Promotions at the Green Door Store in Brighton as part of the Doomsday Online live stream series to raise money for the venue.

The first two tracks are fully improvised.

The Exalted One Who Walketh is sung in Sumerian, with lyrics being arranged from the tablet "E-lum Didara" by Nina.

Against Evil Done by the Serpent is sung in Akkadian and taken from Elizabeth Payne's transliteration of tablet YBC11381.

The third track, Lalae Madar is an Iranian lullaby sung in Farsi.

For our heavy metal music check out our debut A Crypt in the Stars. We are currently writing the second full length.
